Independence Lake

	The hike to Independence Lake is a really nice hike in the Independence Pass region. The trailhead begins on the Pitkin County side of the pass at the main switchback as seen in this photo.
	You'll head upward into this gulch with the infant Roaring Fork River rumbling beside you. ;)
	Now I did this hike on June 22 and notice all the snow still remaining in the high country!
	I reached the pass that divides the Independence Lake and Lost Man Lake watersheds, and snapped this photo of Independence Lake, which I passed.
	Here is the view of Lost Man Lake. It's still covered in snow!
	Here is one photo of the Roaring Fork River near the beginning. It was a great adventure!
